One of my biggest strengths is my ability to be myself on camera or when recorded, allowing me to be a very genuine personality for podcasts and other web content. Here is a list of all the things I’ve done over the years.
- 200+ episodes
- 4 years
- Guests included Jim Sterling, Lisa Foiles, and Yahtzee Crowshaw.
For a huge chunk of time, I had a chance to work with The Escapist where I produced a weekly segment that revolved around pop culture debates. Along with my co-hosts Kyle and Dan, we covered all sorts of topics ranging from movies to video games to comic books, and even tackled some serious social issues from time to time. I was front and center as an actor for the majority of episodes, which also meant coming up with new episode topics and doing some minor planning behind the scenes.
Select Episodes:
- Best Animal Ever
- Is Game of Thrones Overrated
- Best/Worst Anime Ever
- Worst Videogame to Movie Adaptation Ever
- New Escapist Show Pitches
- 28 episodes
- 1 year
- Guests included Egoraptor, Nostalgia Critic, and Bob Chipman.
Along with No Right Answer, I was allowed to run a bi-monthly podcast for The Escapist called Media Sandwich. It was centered around pop culture yet again but didn’t have to adhere to any structure. I was responsible for scheduling guests, hosting and recording episodes, editing episodes, and uploading the episodes to The Escapist.
Select Episodes:
- Episode 21: Ma Parents Weres Killed
- Episode 23: Sports Sandwich
- Episode 24: The Timely Lostcast
- 24 episodes
- 6 months
When No Right Answer was pitched to The Escapist, we also pitched another show called Drinking Games. Both weekly segments were picked up, so we produced a season of both before deciding to stick exclusively to No Right Answer. However, Drinking Games was a lot of fun as it involved creating rules to drink by for video games, which was crazy as I don’t actually drink, meaning my co-host had to drink for both of us. I acted in all episodes, performed set-up for the games and researched the rules, and helped get gameplay footage for each.
Select Episodes:
- 26 episodes
- 1 year
- Guests included Brentalfloss, James Portnow, and Kyle Herbert.
Before Media Sandwich, there was Armchair Thinkers, a much smaller-time podcast with my best friend and eternal co-host Kyle. For the better part of a year, we released episodes discussing pop culture, which ultimately got us in the door at The Escapist in the first place. Similar to Media Sandwich, I was in charge of securing guest, hosting and recording episodes, editing episodes, and uploading them. I was involved in all of episodes up to 26, though Kyle has started the series up again in my absence.
Select Episodes:
- Episode 26 (on Harry Potter)
- Episode 20 (Comics Are Weird with Bob Chipman)
